Farhan Al-Qadi, who was rescued from Gaza yesterday after enduring over 10 months in captivity, was released from the hospital today and brought home in a celebratory motorcade.

In an emotional reunion, Al-Qadi met his 90-year-old mother, kissed her feet, and said, "Now I can die."

Farhan shared details of his harrowing 326 days in captivity, describing how he rarely saw sunlight and subsisted mainly on bread, often going days without food. Relatives noted that while he lost significant weight, he remains physically strong and mentally sharp.

According to Galei Tzahal military correspondent Doron Kadosh, IDF forces discovered Farhan by chance in a tunnel in Gaza. His escape was not part of a planned operation; Farhan managed to flee his captors on his own and reached IDF forces who then rescued him. The exact details of his escape remain unclear, but it is believed that his captors either fled or were eliminated.
