IDF Spokesperson Daniel Hagari delivered a statement to the press this evening (Tuesday) addressing Israel’s war against the Hamas terror organization.

He began by addressing events in the Gaza Strip, saying that “our forces are now fighting deep in the Gaza Strip, eliminating terrorists, attacking targets with combined strikes from land, air, and sea. This is complex combat, some of it also face to face. In the battles we have lost soldiers, we informed the families of 2 IDF soldiers who fell during the fighting.”

Regarding the circumstances of their death, the Spokesperson said “these are face to face battles, with us having the upper hand. This is a battle in which we took over a Hamas bastion with equipment, infrastructures, and sensitive information we collected. The soldiers were killed (fighting) heroically in this battle.

The Spokesperson also addressed the various rumors and said “in the last few hours, the country has been filled with rumors of one kind or another – I suggest to you to continue to remain connected to our official reports, which will be delivered while protecting our forces. Don’t spread rumors.”

Sinwar Doesn’t Care About Gazans

“We eliminated the murderous terrorist Ibrahim Biari, a central leader of the fighting in the northern Strip since the entry into Gaza, and he also played a part in the massacre on October 7,” Hagari said. “During his elimination, many terrorists residing with him in the structure and underground were killed. The strike against the structure brought down additional structures, as there was a broad ground infrastructure there, whose purpose was operational use of terror against our forces.”

“Hamas terrorists continue to use civilians as a protective vest, in the most deliberate and cruel way imaginable. Sinwar does not care about the residents of Gaza – he deliberately built Hamas’ terror infrastructures under citizens’ homes and is behind not only the massacre in Israel on October 7 but also the massacre of Gazans and is bringing it down on its residents. We will continue to act against every terrorist throughout the whole Strip.”

The Houthis Sent by Iran are Trying to Divert Us From Gaza War

The Spokesperson also addressed the missile fire from Yemen, saying that “we intercepted a missile in the Red Sea region launched towards Israel with the Arrow system. This is the first use of the system in war, and it was carried out successfully. IDF planes also intercepted another two targets flying in the area. All the targets were intercepted outside of Israeli territory, we reinforced the area, and now we are in multi-dimensional defense – sea, air, and land – to protect Israeli citizens.”

“There are many parties in the area working on behalf of Iran like the Houthis, who are trying to divert us from the war in Gaza – we remain united and will know to defend ourselves wherever we need to.”
