Serious case of leaked documents from Prime Ministers' Office

Feldstein's lawyer: He is in an isolation cell, handcuffed with a blindfold

The detainee's lawyer, Eli Feldstein, met with him in his detention cell and reported that Feldstein is held in an isolated cell, handcuffed, with a blindfold, does not know when it is day or night, and the first sentence he said was, "Better my death than my life."

Attorney Efrayim Dimri, representing the detainee Eli Feldstein, who is suspected in the secret documents case from the Prime Minister's Office, recounts his meeting with him on 'Galey Yisrael'.

And thus he reported: "I met him yesterday. He told me he is in an isolated cell, shackled, with a blindfold on his eyes all day long. I don't know when it's day and when it's night. The first thing he said to me was, "Better my death than my life." It broke my heart. What is it about? About leaking a document to the enemy?"

Yesterday (Wednesday), the court decided to extend Feldstein's detention by one day, contrary to the request of the police and the Shin Bet, who demanded eight days.

The court criticized the pace of the investigation, and the judge said: "The court is not comfortable with the fact that the suspect has been in custody for 18 days and this is the pace of the investigation. The court has often granted the detention request, and in most cases, the suspect's counsel agreed to the detention days, as recommended by the court."

And despite the aforementioned, while I do not ignore the fact that we are dealing with a complex, sensitive, intricate investigation with many involved, the pace of the investigation's progress is unsatisfactory, especially the recent extensions of detention.
