A shooting incident in the Israeli city of Kfar Qasim has resulted in one fatality and three injuries, local police reported early Thursday morning.
The victim, identified as Karim Ali Abu Jaber, a resident of Kfar Qasim, was rushed to Beilinson Hospital in critical condition where he was later pronounced dead. Three other individuals were also wounded in the attack, with medical sources describing their conditions as ranging from moderate to serious.
Law enforcement has initiated a murder investigation into the incident. Police teams are currently conducting searches for the suspects and collecting evidence at the crime scene.
This latest tragedy marks the 108th homicide within the Arab community in Israel since the start of the year. Comparatively, 112 murders were recorded during the same period last year, indicating a slight decrease but highlighting the ongoing issue of violence in Arab-Israeli communities.
The incident in Kfar Qasim follows a series of recent violent events across Israel. Earlier this week, a 42-year-old mother of two was fatally shot in Jatt, and a 40-year-old man was killed in Lod. Additionally, a 15-year-old girl was moderately injured in a drive-by shooting in Haifa, though authorities believe she was not the intended target.
