Israeli police have started to collect testimonies from returning Maccabi Tel Aviv fans who were attacked by Arab rioters in Amsterdam, as the victims arrive at Ben Gurion Airport.

The Israeli Police, working in cooperation with Dutch authorities to advance the investigation, have so far collected 23 statements from witnesses and victims who returned on three flights from Amsterdam.

The Criminal Identification Unit at Ben Gurion Airport and the Investigation and Intelligence Division are prepared to gather additional evidence and testimonies from more fans expected to return in the next 48 hours.

The police investigation will continue as more victims return to Israel, with law enforcement focused on documenting the attacks to support the ongoing investigation.

Outgoing US President Joe Biden addressed the violent incident in Amsterdam, stating: "These antisemitic attacks are shocking and reminiscent of dark moments in history when Jews were persecuted."
