Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer discussed the Middle East with President-elect Donald Trump during a call last night, according to a Downing Street spokesperson.

Starmer “reflected on the situation in the Middle East and underscored the importance of regional stability” in his first conversation with Trump since the election.

The Prime Minister congratulated Trump on his “historic victory” and “fondly recalled their meeting in September” in New York, where Starmer had traveled to address the United Nations General Assembly.
