The Home Front Command introduced a new app on Tuesday designed to deliver alerts and emergency guidance directly to smart TVs, allowing users to receive notifications even while watching content on platforms like YouTube, Netflix, and other TV apps.

This latest application will allow users to get notifications while watching TV on different platforms and channels like YouTube, Netflix, and other television apps. The application will operate like a siren system, distributing alerts and offering guidance when needed.

To start, all app users must input their home address to receive alerts specific to their location. The new system is created to give notifications to anyone at all times. A source from the Home Front Command clarified that every individual will get a location-based alert. Any TV running on an Android operating system will receive alerts promptly. Nevertheless, the application will only function when the television is turned on.

The Home Front Command source emphasized the app's extra technological benefit, pointing out that occasionally individuals do not hear the sirens nearby. He stated that the app would be distributed by content providers and could also be downloaded on its own. The spokesperson explained that the app was created during numerous months as a component of a multi-year technology development strategy, and its current release date is not connected to the tensions in the North.

We provide various options for receiving notifications. He further clarified that the app will be able to autonomously identify the user's location on the TV to provide targeted alerts in the future. "The app will take precedence over all other content during broadcasts to deliver instant alerts, including sounding sirens if needed."
