CNN reported on Wednesday that Hezbollah might attack Israel independently, without waiting for Iran’s involvement.

According to multiple sources familiar with the intelligence, the Lebanon-based group appears increasingly inclined to act on its own and strike Israel in the near future, while Iran continues to deliberate its next steps.

A US military official indicated that while Iran has made some preparations for a significant attack on Israel, it has not completed all expected actions. In contrast, Hezbollah’s proximity to Israel allows it to potentially execute an attack with minimal notice, differing from Iran’s more measured approach.

There are indications that Hezbollah and Iran may not be fully coordinated in their responses to recent high-profile assassinations, including Ismail Haniyeh, the former Hamas leader killed in Tehran, and Fuad Shukr, a top Hezbollah military commander killed in Lebanon.
