Watch: Large fire in Valley of the Cross; Israel Museum evacuated

23 firefighting teams and eight aircraft are now trying to control the blaze, focusing on preventing it from reach the museum. No casualties have been reported.

The Fire and Rescue Services announced a brush and vegetation fire situation in Jerusalem's Valley of the Cross a short time ago (Sunday).

According to the Fire Services Spokesperson, the fire and the weather are severe enough that there are now 23 fire teams and eight firefighting aircraft working to control the blaze.

Furthermore, the fire is sufficiently close to the Israel Museum that the compound has been evacuated.

Fire Services are now concentrating their efforts at preventing the fire's spread into the museum itself.

No casualties have been reported.
