The Washington Post reported last night (Tuesday/Wednesday) that Egypt, Qatar, and the US presented the heads of the Shin Bet and the Mossad with a new proposal for a hostage deal in which all the civilian hostages will be released in exchange for six weeks of a cease fire in the Strip and the release of terrorists.

According to reports, three terrorists will be released from Israeli prisons in exchange for each hostage and Israel will withdraw from populated areas in the Strip, while humanitarian aid will be increased.

The second stage involves soldiers and bodies, which seems to be the main sticking point between the sides due to the terrorists Israel would have to free. Hamas, for its part, will demand a permanent end to the fighting.
