Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu visited the Merom Brigade at the Adam installation today (Thursday), meeting with soldiers from the elite Oketz, Lotar, and Balnam units: “We have very impressive successes, we are already more than in the outskirts of the city of Gaza. We are advancing. I want to make one thing clear – nothing will stop us.”
The Prime Minister received a survey of the units’ activities over the last few weeks from their commanders, including extracting civilians and clearing the Gaza Perimeter of terrorists, alongside immediate refresher training for sniping teams and security response teams throughout the country, and the training of the forces in preparation for ground entry.
In addition, he watched a demonstration of the unique operational capabilities of the Oketz, Lotar, and Balnam units, as well as the use of the units’ special means as deployed in the fighting in Gaza and the different sectors.
Prime Minister Netanyahu told the soldiers: “I am here at Merom Brigade with the special units Lotar, Oketz, many other units, who are doing holy work. Male and female soldiers, who in the immediate hours after the attack, even within an hour … fought heroic wars, saved people, lost friends, and blocked the enemy. We have very impressive successes. We are already more than on the outskirts of the city of Gaza. We are advancing.”
Netanyahu continued: “We also have losses, painful losses, because every soldier who falls is an entire world, and our heart is with the families. But I want to make one thing clear, and one of the soldiers said it just now – nothing will stop us. I call on the uninvolved: get out. Get out, evacuate south, because we will not stop our activity to eliminate the Hamas terrorists. We will advance. We will advance and we will win, and we will do it with God’s help and with the help of our heroic soldiers. I trust you, I believe in you. The whole People of Israel is behind you until victory. Thank you very much.”
