A day after the alert was raised and preparations were made for a potential campaign in the north, the IDF decided to transfer Brigade 98 to the northern sector after 11 months of operations in Gaza, as reported this morning by Doron Kadush on Galatz.
Earlier today, air defense forces intercepted a suspicious aerial target that crossed from Lebanon over the maritime area near the shores of Rosh HaNikra. No alerts were activated according to protocol.
The IDF noted that following alerts triggered between 4:36 and 4:32 AM in the Sea of Galilee area due to the incursion of an enemy aircraft, fighter jets intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle coming from Iraq. Alerts for rocket and missile fire were activated due to concerns over falling interception debris. There were no casualties reported.
Additionally, it was reported that following an alert activated at 6:12 AM in the Metula area, an interceptor was launched towards a suspicious aerial target that turned out to be a false alarm, with no injuries. The recent alerts in the Upper Galilee area also pertained to a false identification.
