The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environmental Protection inform the traveling public and regional and local councils about unusual results found in water sampling conducted to assess the pollution status in the northern streams.
In tests for bacteria conducted in samplings from August 7th, 2023, several streams in the north exhibited results exceeding the recommendations of the Ministry of Health (400 fecal coliforms per 100 ml) and indicated the presence of water pollution.
Considering these results, entering the mentioned streams may be hazardous until the sampling results are confirmed to be normal and stable.
1. Snir (Hasbani) - from the Roman Bridge to the Jordan River mouth.
2. Jordan - from the Yosef Bridge to the Sea of Galilee.
3. Meshushim Pool.

From the Ministry of Environmental Protection it was conveyed: "The Ministry of Environmental Protection has not identified any known pollution source in the streams. Sampling is carried out once every two weeks by inspectors from the Nature and Parks Authority, at designated sampling points in the northern streams (Upper Galilee, Golan Heights, and Western Galilee). These points represent waterfalls, pools, or segments in the streams. The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environmental Protection continue with the sampling and monitoring and will provide updates as necessary."
