Israel - Gaza War, Hostage Deal

Report: New Plan Includes the Release of 30 Hostages

Following the rejection of the proposed plan for the release of abductees by Israel and Hamas on Monday, it has now been revealed that Egypt and Qatar are working to bring forth a new agreement that will extend throughout the entire Ramadan period. Under this arrangement, 30 hostages, who are civilians, including adults, women, and children, will be released. In exchange, Israel will release 100 Palestinian prisoners from its detention facilities. This information was reported by Sky News Arabia.

Throughout these 30 days, there will naturally be a ceasefire, and the proposal also includes an increase in humanitarian assistance entering Gaza.

As a reminder, it was reported on Monday that the proposed deal, discussed in France, included a 45-day ceasefire in exchange for the release of 35 hostages in the first stage. The deal involved releasing 100-250 militants for each hostage, including serious offenders—approximately 4,000-5,000 individuals in total, along with humanitarian aid.

Both Hamas and Israel opposed the deal, and now there are discussions about the new arrangement.
