Tonight, IDF forces began to operate at the Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip, alongside the criticism from the world following the ground maneuver, which they did not hesitate to come. Israel's ambassador to the UN, former Knesset member Danny Danon, commented on the effects of such a move on global public opinion.
In an interview with Radio 103FM, Danon said: "From an international point of view, this is an event that we are dealing with relatively successfully. We have information that there were and maybe there are abductees in the area."
Danon went on to slam the UN Secretary-General who accused Israel of killing children and innocents, even though Israel is constantly working to prevent harm to the uninvolved and sometimes even creates the fire out of fear of harming them.
"The UN Secretary-General took a hostile position," Danon said and clarified that "sometimes I don't know if he is a spokesman for the UN or a spokesman for Hamas."
