Iran's Union of Truck Drivers and Drivers declared today (Monday) that if the labor conflict with Iranian nurses is not resolved justly, they too would strike and protest in their favor, according to Iran International.

The Iranian nurses' labor struggle has been going on since August 5 due to complaints of overwork and low wages and the government has struggled to meet these demands due to a budget deficit.

Now Iranian truckers are threatening to join in, though it is unclear just how far they will go given their power to possibly force much economic activity to a halt.
