Senior officials in the American administration are considering options for a significant attack against the Houthis in Yemen - this was reported this morning (Sunday) on the "Politico" website. This is after a series of attacks by the organization against trading ships in the Red Sea, which led to the decision of many companies to stop moving their ships in the area.

According to the report, in recent days the Pentagon moved the aircraft carrier "Dwight D. Eisenhower" from the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Aden near Yemen, to support a potential American attack on the Houthi rebels. It was also said that the US military presented the high command with several possible plans for an attack.

As mentioned, last night it was reported that three of the largest shipping companies in the world - the Danish Maersk, the French CMA CGM and the German Hapag-Lloyd - announced that they would stop their activities in the Red Sea. In the meantime, the Central Command of the United States Army announced that during the Sabbath 14 drones launched from the coast of Yemen were intercepted, according to the announcement no damage was caused to the vessels in the maritime space.

Following the activity of the Houthis, which includes an attack and hijacking of ships whose target is Israel, the companies decided to stop the activity in the Red Sea. This decision is dramatic and may cause an increase in prices of products imported from abroad. Some companies are even considering canceling sending ships to Israel for fear of the ships being attacked by the Houthis from Yemen.
