Explosion of pagers, Mossad planned attack on Lebanon

Contrary to Reports: How the Beeper Attack in Lebanon Was Carried Out

According to reports from international media, Hezbollah operatives' communication devices were pre-rigged with explosives. The reports suggest that the Mossad planted PETN explosive material in the devices' batteries and detonated them by raising the battery temperature.

Additional details about the beeper attack in Lebanon, which resulted in over 4,000 injuries among Hezbollah operatives, have emerged. A Lebanese security source told Al Jazeera that the communication devices were pre-rigged with explosives. He stated that the weight of the planted explosive did not exceed 20 grams. He further explained that the devices were received about five months ago and that an investigation is underway into how the explosive was activated. Additionally, exclusive sources informed Sky News Arabia that the Mossad planted PETN explosives in the devices' batteries and detonated them by increasing the battery temperature. According to the report, the Mossad managed to access Hezbollah's communication devices before they were transferred to the organization.

Six hours after the beeper attack in Lebanon, the extent of the destruction is revealed with astronomical numbers of casualties across the country. The Lebanese Ministry of Health has recently updated the situation, reporting that over 4,000 Hezbollah operatives were injured by the explosion of the communication devices.

Among the injured, 400 are in critical condition. Estimates suggest that the number of fatalities may rise in the coming hours as the situation at Hezbollah’s bases and bunkers becomes clearer. As time goes on, the extent of the damage among the organization’s forces is expected to be better understood.
