Becoming closer? The Russian news agency RIA reported that a Hamas delegation has arrived for an official visit in Moscow. According to the report, the head of the delegation is Mousa Abu Marzook, who serves as the deputy head of the political bureau of the terrorist organization.
In the Russian Foreign Ministry, it was confirmed that the delegation is in Moscow, but they did not specify who the members of the delegation are, with whom they will meet, or how long they will stay in Russia. Shortly after that, Hamas reported that the delegation had met with senior Russian government officials, and members of the delegation "commended the position of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his diplomatic efforts regarding the conflict."
At the same time, it was reported in the Russian media that Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, met with the "political leadership" of Hamas in Qatar. According to reports, the discussion focused on the issue of the abducted individuals currently held in the Gaza Strip and Russian efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza, as well as the provision of humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip.
