Throw the book at them: Suspects in flare firing at Bibi's house detained for five more days

The Shin Bet, which said that it will not tolerate attacks on state symbols, had requested the suspects be detained for almost two weeks.

Suspects detained in connection with the firing of flares at the home of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's residence in Caesaria last night (Saturday) have been ordered detained for an additional five days. The Shin Bet had requested that the suspects be detained for twelve days.

The court stated in its decision that there is a reasonable foundation for the fear that freeing the suspects would endanger public safety and endanger the investigation into the incident.

Shin Bet Director Ronen Bar said earlier today that: "The Shin Bet is committed by virtue of its mission to protect the symbols of government of the State of Israel. Accordingly, we worked quickly with the Israel Police to locate and arrest those suspected of being involved in the event, with all the tools at our disposal."
