Forgery case may be dropped

Netanyahu's inner circle shaken: Top spokesman Yonatan Urich grilled by police

Investigators are now focusing their attention on the classified document leaks to foreign media, while appearing to back away from allegations of wartime record tampering.

New developments have emerged in the ongoing investigations surrounding the Prime Minister's Office, with some cases advancing toward prosecution while others appear to be winding down.

Key Developments

Several major shifts have emerged in the parallel investigations: Yonatan Urich, PM Netanyahu's spokesman and Likud party spokesperson, has been questioned under caution, with police seizing his mobile device as part of the classified documents leak investigation. An indictment against Eli Feldstein is expected within days, while the case against Chief of Staff Tzachi Braverman appears likely to be closed.

Document Leak Investigation

Senior aide Yonatan Urich was questioned at Lahav 433 (Israel's 'FBI') regarding the leak of classified documents. The investigation is connected to a separate case involving alleged leaks to German newspaper Bild, for which Eli Feldstein faces imminent indictment.

Protocol Forgery Case Weakens

The investigation into alleged protocol tampering at the outbreak of the war appears to be losing steam. Investigators are reportedly struggling to establish a motive for the minor time change in official records - from 06:40 to 06:29 - regarding a conversation between Netanyahu and his military secretary.

Sources close to the investigation indicate the Prime Minister had no involvement in or knowledge of the time alteration. This supports earlier statements from Braverman's legal team asserting he "acted within his authority."

A dispute has emerged between Braverman's version of events and military secretariat testimony. While Braverman claims the change was made at the stenographer's request, military secretariat staff assert Braverman himself demanded the modification.
