Several hours after two flares were fired at the prime minister's residence in Caesarea, Justice Minister Yariv Levin called for the judicial reform to be re-enacted "in order to put an end to the anarchy, the rampage and the attempts to harm the Prime Minister."

Levin said: "There was no need to fire flares tonight at the prime minister's home in order to understand the severity of the rampant violence and insubordination on the part of those who are trying to dismantle the country from within."

The justice minister criticized the police and Shin Bet's announcement: "I reject out of hand the appraisal of the police and the Shin Bet that this is a 'serious incident.' This is not just another serious incident. This is a link in a chain of violent and anarchist actions aimed at bringing about the assassination of the Prime Minister and the overthrow of the elected government through a violent coup."

"The chain of these acts has been taking place for about two years, under the auspices of selective enforcement by law enforcement agencies. This criminal conduct, of course, also received the approval of the High Court of Justice, which rejected the petition filed on this matter by my colleague Minister Wasserlauf," Levin continued.
