Defense Minister Gallant said today (Tuesday) that Hezbollah has just 20% of its pre-war rocket capacity left, "and even this is not organized."
The Defense Minister further said that there is a "deep connection" between the Iran strike and developments regarding Hezbollah, in that "Iran understands that Hezbollah has no retaliation capability, and Hezbollah understands that it cannot rely on Iran."
Gallant also said on X that the new leader of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, is a "temporary appointment" and that "the countdown" has begun to his presumed elimination by Israel, much like his predecessors at the head of the terrorist organization.
The government is set to meet tonight to discuss a possible end to the war in the north, which according to Israel Hayom would mean a ceasefire in Lebanon within weeks, in exchange for full American permission to interdict arms shipments to Hezbollah via Syria and other pathways.
