A threat from the United Torah Judaism: "First, pass the conscription law"

Ahead of the budget discussions, the Haredi parties are threatening and saying that the Prime Minister is aware that there will be no budget until the conscription law is passed.

Ahead of the government meeting next Thursday, where discussions on the state budget for 2025 will take place, the ultra-Orthodox parties are reiterating their threat that the budget will not pass until the conscription law is settled.

In the circles of Minister Goldknopf, it is said that the minister will participate in the discussions on the 2025 budget law as he has until now. However, the Prime Minister is aware that the budget law will not be brought up for discussion in the government until the conscription law is passed.

This morning (Tuesday), Knesset Speaker Ohana and Finance Minister Smotrich met in the Knesset Speaker's office in preparation for the budget transfer in the government and before his arrival at the Knesset. The Minister of Finance presented the guiding principles for the 2025 budget and the main planned measures.

Chairman Ohana and Minister Smotrich see great importance in passing a good and responsible budget that will support both the future of the Israeli economy and the war efforts. The two agreed to continue working in partnership, as was done in previous budgets.
