Trembling: This is What the Militants Did Before the IDF Arrived

Militants from Islamic Jihad surrendered their weapons and turned themselves in to the Palestinian Authority's security forces, fearing an IDF operation in the al-Far'a refugee camp following the scenes witnessed in Jenin and Tulkarem.

Operation Summer Camps – Day Two

Several militants from the al-Far’a refugee camp near Nablus turned themselves in to Palestinian security forces last night, fearing they would be eliminated during the IDF's operation in the camp, according to Ynet. A source within the Palestinian security forces reported that militants affiliated with Islamic Jihad operating in the al-Far’a refugee camp east of Nablus handed over their weapons and surrendered to the Palestinian Authority due to concerns about the upcoming IDF operation.

The armed militants made this unusual decision after being pressured by public sentiment following the scenes from the military operation in Jenin and Tulkarem. According to the report, approximately 15 militants surrendered.

Earlier, the IDF spokesperson reported that in an operation by Yamam special forces, Shin Bet, and IDF troops in Tulkarem, Yamam forces eliminated five militants who were hiding in a mosque. Among those killed was Muhammad Jabar, "Abu Shuja’a," the head of the terror organization in Nur al-Shams, who was involved in numerous attacks.

The fighters also destroyed dozens of explosives planted under roads intended to target our forces. Additionally, militants were neutralized in airstrikes by the Air Force and during exchanges of fire. During the operation, the fighters located and confiscated weapons including M-16 rifles, other firearms, ammunition, and additional military equipment.

During the operation, an IDF soldier was moderately injured and a Yamam soldier was lightly injured. The soldiers were evacuated to receive medical treatment at a hospital, and their families have been informed.
