The soldier fell in battle during the terror attack on October 7 and was abducted to Gaza. The family has been notified. At the family's request, the soldier's name is not being released. We extend our condolences to the family and will continue to support them.
The fallen soldier was rescued in an operation commanded by Division 162, involving special forces from the IDF and Shin Bet, and soldiers from the Nahal Brigade and Brigade 401. The intelligence effort was managed by the Hostage Division of the Intelligence Corps, working closely with Shin Bet investigators and the Israeli Police’s Lahav 433 unit. The effort spanned several months and included intelligence gathering and analysis of various indicators to create a comprehensive picture.
Alongside the operational effort, the Hostages and Missing Persons Center in the Human Resources Division, which is responsible for supporting the families of the abducted, worked on the rapid identification of the abducted individual and notification to the family.
The IDF and security forces are making every effort to return all abductees as quickly as possible.
