The attack happened in an open area between two factories. Gideon Perry, who worked as a security guard, was escorting workers from one factory to another when the terrorist ambushed him from behind, struck him with a hammer, and inflicted life-threatening injuries. His death was later confirmed at the hospital. The attacker escaped with Perry's weapon and fled the area in a vehicle. Surveillance footage shows the terrorist stopping the car at the roadside and continuing his escape on foot. Last night, Central Command Chief Major General Avi Blot visited the attack site, held a situational assessment, and stated: "This is a very severe attack.
