Israel-Hamas war, Gazans

Hamas Under Pressure as Israel Expands Efforts to Recruit Gazans

The Hamas terror group alleges that Israelis posing as aid workers are "blackmailing" Gazans into providing intelligence on Gaza's terrorist factions.

According to Israel Hayom, a senior Hamas source claimed that Israelis are disguising themselves as humanitarian workers to collect intelligence and coerce Gaza residents with threats.

The Hamas official told Al Jazeera that Israel has intensified its efforts to recruit Gazans to gather information on various terror groups in Gaza. The source noted that Hamas has recently detained several individuals suspected of collaborating with Israel, who are now under interrogation.

The Hamas official also asserted that Israelis are using deceitful tactics by posing as aid workers to gather intelligence and pressure Gazans. He urged civilians across Gaza to be cautious of these tactics and the occupation's deceptions.

In recent reports, Al-Hadath revealed that a Hamas courier was implicated in leaking information that led to the death of Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif. The Jewish Chronicle later reported that Israeli undercover forces operated within Gaza to gather intelligence for this operation.
