Hezbollah proclaimed their achievement on Monday evening following another round of rocket fire originating from Lebanon towards northern Israel, asserting that they had successfully increased the rockets' range to strike Moshav Tzuriel near Ma'alot.
The announcement came after approximately ten rockets were launched towards the Galilee region, with most intercepted. One rocket landed in the Tzuriel area but did not cause any injuries, according to Israel National News sources.
Doron Kadosh, a military reporter for Galei Tzahal (IDF Radio), commented on the incident, stating, "Hezbollah once again takes pride in expanding its firing range, targeting Israeli towns it hadn't reached since the conflict began — this time hitting Tzuriel near Ma'alot."
"In addition to extending their reach," Kadosh continued, "Hezbollah openly acknowledges targeting civilian population centres, not just military installations and bases. Will this targeting provoke a response in Lebanon tonight, similar to the incident in Hudaydah Port [in Yemen]? Or will the IDF continue to respond forcefully only in the event of Israeli casualties, as was indicated after the UAV attack on Tel Aviv? Already in the north, there have been 30 fatalities and dozens more injured, including five deaths and five serious injuries in the past month alone."
