Car explosion injures 2 in Petah Tikva

Police are investigating the incident as a possible assassination attempt which left the car engulfed in flames and two young men injured.

This evening (Thursday), a 25-year-old man sustained serious injuries, and a 20-year-old man was moderately injured in a car explosion in Petah Tikva. Authorities are investigating the incident as a suspected assassination attempt.

The explosion occurred at approximately 18:45 on Samir Moshe Nakash Street in Petah Tikva. Footage from the scene shows thick smoke emanating from a burning vehicle, channel 12 reports.

MDA medics and paramedics who responded to the scene provided initial medical treatment to the injured and transported them to Bilinson Hospital in the city. Police have launched an investigation into the incident, which reportedly has criminal implications.
