An elderly man sustained a head injury on Monday morning after being struck by shrapnel during a missile barrage fired from Lebanon into Nahariya.
Reports indicate that a building in the city was also directly hit during the attack, marking a significant escalation in hostilities.
The incident ended a 12-hour period of calm in the Western Galilee, as sirens sounded at 8:35 a.m., warning residents of the incoming threat.
“Approximately 20 projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon into Israel,” the IDF confirmed in a statement. “Some of the projectiles were intercepted, and fallen projectiles were identified in the area.”
