Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke today (Wednesday) at the Knesset during a 40 signatures discussion, where he addressed the state of Hamas and the hostage deal.

The Prime Minister said that "we are working systematically to achieve the goals of the war - freeing the hostages, eliminating Hamas, and ensuring Gaza will no longer be a threat to Israel. We are achieving these goals because of the combination of military and political pressure. Hamas is under pressure because we are eliminating its commanders and terrorists, because we entered Rafah and Philadelphi and we have it by the throat."

In reference to recent statements by the IDF Spokesperson that Hamas cannot be entirely destroyed because it is an idea, Netanyahu said that "Eliminate an idea? We are coming to eliminate the governmental and military capabilities of Hamas and we are advancing there step by step."
