With Egypt's help: Israel can deliver a heavy blow to Hamas

Israel may have found a solution to the Philadelphia axis, and furthermore, Israel may have a perfect opportunity to use Egypt for security control in the Gaza Strip and to neutralize Hamas once and for all. This is what the military commentator Avi Ashkenazi claims.

One of the points on which Israel is not willing to give up in negotiations with Hamas is the control of the Philadelphia axis. The military analyst Avi Ashkenazi claims that Israel is in a situation where there is a golden opportunity before it to subdue Hamas, and believe it or not, even to help Egypt by doing so.

According to him, Hamas is in dire straits and for the first time, a country like Egypt is involved in trying to establish security arrangements on the border between Egypt and Rafah. He also claims that the election system in the United States is good and convenient for Israel, because in it Israel can receive American backing on strategic issues, despite the arms crisis.

The IDF's current grip on the Philadelphia axis is certainly significant on a tactical level. It suffocates Hamas and cuts it off from the outside world. It prevents the smuggling and armament industry. For Hamas, the oxygen pipeline axis has become an axis of death for the terror group, claims Ashkenazi.

At the same time, its maintenance can create significant challenges for the IDF over time. Ultimately, the axis will become a focus of combat and guerrilla attacks by Hamas terrorists, Islamic Jihad, and terrorists without any organizational affiliation.
