Minister of Diaspora Affairs Amichai Chikli spoke exclusively to Arutz Sheva on Sunday regarding the attempt to assassinate former US President Donald Trump. Chikli stated, "I believe there are important lessons for us to learn from this disturbing incident."
Shifting focus to Israel, he noted, "There is pervasive incitement against the Prime Minister, and it's not coming solely from the fringes of society. Major General (Res.) Guy Tzur declared, 'Netanyahu is a traitor, an enemy of the state.' Israeli businessman Ami Dror proclaimed, 'We will erase Netanyahu's memory.' Others have threatened, 'We'll wait with a noose."
Regarding the strike targeting Hamas militant wing commander Mohammed Deif, Chikli stated: 'The elimination of Deif is as crucial as can be,' describing him as the brain behind Hamas' militant operations. 'Eliminating him holds tremendous significance for advancing favorable conditions in potential negotiations.'
