Among the multitude of arenas in which Israel faces terror and threats, the Judea and Samaria sector is considered one of the most explosive, as at any moment there could be a flare-up that would put civilians and IDF personnel in danger. Apart from the security occupation, the IDF has recently been dealing with a trend for which they have not yet found a solution and that is the "TikTok terrorists". Those terrorists who upload documents to social networks and are seen by the children as celebrities and as objects of admiration and imitation.

Former Shin Bet senior Yossi Amrousi refers to the phenomenon following yesterday's IDF activity near Tulkarm. In a conversation with the 'Maariv' website, Amarousi said: "This is a place that was used by the battalion's operatives to go out for attacks and return to after them. The place was used by them to prepare explosives, and in fact it is a kind of shelter from the IDF."

Amarousi explained that these battalions are part of a phenomenon that started in Jenin and is now continuing in Tulkarm and Nablus, and which started on social media: "They have no direct funding, or a clear organizational affiliation, they have a popularity that is gaining momentum and is being exploited by the terrorist organizations. They are actually terrorizing the residents of Judea and Samaria, Young people looking for money and unemployment benefits. They are a kind of celebrity on social media and advertise themselves all the time on Tik Tok."
