Israel-Gaza War, Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia accuses Israel of "genocidal" acts in Rafah

The Saudi Foreign Ministry issued a condemnation of the Rafah fire killing dozens of civilians, blaming Israel for the deaths and calling for international intervention.

Normalization takes another hit: following the fire killing dozens of Gazans, which may have resulted from an Israeli strike, Saudi Arabia strongly condemned Israel.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry said: "We strongly condemn the ongoing genocidal acts committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people without warning," they noted.

According to them, "they continue to aim for the tents of defenseless Palestinian refugees in Rafah." As a result, Saudi Arabia called for international intervention and noted that a serious humanitarian disaster is happening in the Strip.

The IDF investigation into the incident is still ongoing, but they have published interim results suggesting the presence of an arms cache in the strike location which neither the IDF nor the ISA knew of.
