According to a Channel 12 report, the Israeli delegation in Doha, Qatar, has agreed to the American compromise proposal regarding the keys to the hostage release - that is, the number of terrorists to be released in exchange for each Israeli hostage held by Hamas.
Israel, the US, and Qatar are now awaiting for Hamas' answer. This is a more generous offer than the one that was put on the table at the Paris summit, which discussed the release of 400 terrorists.
It was also reported that disagreements had surfaced in the War Cabinet before the departure of the Israeli delegation led by Mossad chief, David Barnea, to Qatar. While Prime Minister Netanyahu wanted to give the delegation a limited mandate to operate, other members of the cabinet demanded that the delegation be provided extensive leverage - which indeed ended up happening.
In addition, it was reported that head of the Shin Bet, Ronen Bar, threatened not to go to Qatar if there was no "real room for maneuver."
