Yahalomi shared with emotion and pain, "It’s clear that he will go crazy over her. He’s an amazing uncle and he will be over the moon when they finally meet."

Ayla Luzon-Yahalomi, whose brother Ohad Yahalomi was kidnapped in Gaza, gave birth to a healthy baby girl at Beilinson Hospital this morning (Tuesday). Ayla explained, "I became pregnant when Ohad was already kidnapped. Despite the worries and concerns, I set aside the pregnancy and the growing belly and continued my fight to bring Ohad back."

Ayla elaborated on the name chosen for the newborn: "We named our sweet girl Adva, not only because the meaning of the name is so beautiful to me, but also because the letters of Ohad's name are contained within the name Adva."

Ayla added about her brother: "It’s clear he will go crazy over her. He’s an amazing uncle and will be thrilled when they meet. I dreamed he would be here to hug her right after her birth, but we are waiting for him and we won’t stop fighting." Ohad Yahalomi, 49, a resident of Nir Oz, is married with three children and works as a nature reserve ranger.

Ohad was kidnapped on October 7 along with his son Eitan, who was released in the first deal. His wife and two daughters were also kidnapped, but just before they were forcibly taken through the border, the mother, Tzvia, used the chaos to escape with her daughters. Ohad was filmed in a video released by Hamas, showing him injured and being treated at the location where he is held.
