IDF Develops App For Transmitting Information on Wounded From the Field to the Hospital

This new app, launched in November, is used by on-site medics and medical personnel instead of handwritten information. Watch:

The IDF announced today (Sunday) that it has been using a designated Tablet-based app for transmitting information on wounded soldiers from the field to all the people responsible for evacuating and treating wounded soldiers, up to and including the hospitals receiving them.

The app, released for use in November, replaces the previous method where the wounded soldier's condition was written down by hand and had to be delivered physically from one medical caretaker to another.

Given the many hundreds of IDF wounded in the war in Gaza so far, the app is designed to help make their evacuation and treatment as smooth and efficient as possible.
