Interior Minister Moshe Arbel decided to revoke the permanent residency permit of Majed Rajab Asur Jueva, who is active in the Hamas organization in the Jerusalem sector and the Judea and Samaria region and is in a senior position in the organization.

In a letter he sent to the Attorney General, Arbel wrote: "According to the committee's recommendation and the opinion of the security officials, it appears that since the beginning of the 2000s and for about 24 years, the condemned has a senior and dominant position in the Hamas organization, and his organizational activity takes place in all circles of influence concerning the Hamas organization in the Jerusalem sector and the area of Judea and Samaria and later even in the Shabab al-Aqsa organization in the Jerusalem sector.

"The person in question bears the responsibility for driving the activities of the terrorist organization Shabab al-Aqsa and directing the organization's operatives at the various levels and in the neighborhoods of East Jerusalem - an activity that has the potential to endanger the security of the State of Israel and this in accordance with the directive and the 'regular amendment' of the Hamas organization."

"Therefore" writes Arbel, "in accordance with the visible factual and intelligence framework that was presented to me concerning the activities and organizational status of the defendant and further to the committee's recommendation, I found that the defendant clearly meets the conditions defined in the entry law and his serious actions clearly constitute acts that constitute a breach of trust to the State of Israel, in a manner which justifies the cancellation of the permanent residency permit in Israel that he holds."
