Fallen soldiers' identity revealed

Released for publication: Eitan Ben Ami from Jerusalem fell in battle in Lebanon

It has been cleared for publication that Staff Sergeant (Res.) Eitan Ben Ami, 22, from Jerusalem, fell in battle in southern Lebanon. This is the second fallen soldier whose name has been released for publication today, after this morning's report of the fall of Roi Shashon, may his memory be a blessing, in Gaza.

Israel at war: It has been permitted to publish that Staff Sergeant (Res.) Eitan Ben Ami, 22, from Jerusalem, fell today (Wednesday) in battle in southern Lebanon. Ben Ami was a fighter in the Maglan reserve unit, the Commando Brigade.

Thus, the number of IDF casualties whose names have been released has risen to 801 fallen since the beginning of the war. May their memory be blessed.

This is the second soldier to fall in battle in the past 24 hours, after it was permitted to publish this morning that Staff Sergeant (Res.) Roi Sasson, 21, from Mevasseret Zion, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. A combat officer in the Nachshon Battalion (90), Kfir Brigade, was seriously injured in the incident where Sasson fell, and he was evacuated to receive medical treatment at the hospital. His family has been informed.
