France's Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna today (Sunday) visited the Shura camp of the military rabbinate where the bodies of the murdered were brought and addressed the sexual violence perpetrated by the terrorists on the victims of the south. In a tweet on her Twitter page, Colonna wrote, "Neither silence nor denial - horrific sexual violence was committed by terrorists on October 7. The world must recognize this, strongly condemn the acts and severely punish their perpetrators. The evidence is chilling."
Earlier Colonna met with Foreign Minister Eli Cohen, the two discussed the continuation of the fighting in Gaza, the elimination of Hamas and the release of the abductees. They also discussed the northern front and the intention to change the equation facing Hezbollah.
At the meeting between the two, Cohen told his colleague, "Only the implementation of Security Council Resolution 1701 and the removal of Hezbollah from the border with Israel will prevent a war in Lebanon," Cohen told Colonna. "Hezbollah, which serves the terrorist government in Iran, endangers Lebanon and the entire region. The issue can be resolved diplomatically or with military action."
