In the Shadow of the Ceasefire: 108 Tons of Humanitarian Equipment will be Transferred to Gaza

In the background of the talks for the extension of the ceasefire and the release of additional hostages, Qatar landed three planes in Egypt with 108 tons of humanitarian equipment that will be transferred to the Gaza Strip.

Qatar today landed in Al-Arish in Egypt (Wednesday) three planes carrying humanitarian aid weighing 108 tons that will be transported into the Gaza Strip. In the meantime, the frenzied efforts for the release of additional abductees continue.

The talks on the subject of the abductees now deal with the release of all the men held captive - the adults, the elderly and the soldiers. This is a new agreement, and is completely different from the current ceasefire agreement in which although Israel releases convicted security prisoners, the agreement itself is considered an agreement for the release of women and children.

Also, it was announced in the Arab media that the agreement dealing with the release of the men and soldiers will entail much more significant prices, whether it is the release of thousands of terrorists with blood on their hands or even more far-reaching requests by Hamas such as the lifting of the blockade from the Strip and the reopening of the crossings from the Israeli side to bring in goods and equipment.

At the same time, the head of the Mossad, Dedi Barnea, clarified (Tuesday) in a meeting in Qatar with the Prime Minister of Qatar, the head of the CIA and the head of Egyptian intelligence that Israel will not hold a discussion on further deals before all the women and children held captive in Gaza are released and returned to Israel, as journalist Barak Ravid published in Walla.

It was also reported that between 30 and 40 more women and children are in the hands of Hamas, and Israel expects them to be released in the near future as part of the extension of the cease-fire agreement with Hamas. According to an Israeli official, "agreements can be reached on additional groups of abductees, but Israel has made it clear that this will only happen after the current outline is fully exhausted and all the women and children are released."
