Canada announced yestersay (Wednesday) that it was authorizing Elon Musk's Neuralink to conduct clinical trials in humans, in which electron chips would be implanted into patients' brains.
This means that a Canadian citizen, paralyzed in his limbs, will soon be accepted into Musk's program and will enjoy the possibility of communicating with the environment through thought.
And this is how it works: the electronic chip is implanted into the brain through complex surgery, after which the chip begins to absorb the electronic signals produced by the paralyzed person's thoughts and translate them further into the digital device.
Using the groundbreaking technology, the paralyzed patient is able to control a computer, a phone, and operate any smart device that is adapted to the advanced chip.
The more advanced stage that Neurolink wants to perform is the healing of paralyzed people, in which the brain activity is partially replaced by the chip. According to the company, the chip will allow paralyzed people to walk and move their limbs again, and some blind people will also be able to see again.
