Another security-related case has been cleared for publication: Contractors who won tenders from the defense establishment employed Palestinian workers illegally and brought them into IDF bases and sensitive security facilities.

In recent months, a covert investigation has been conducted by the Yam"r "Arzim" in the Mlamab (the Security System Security Supervisor) and the National Unit for the Fight Against Economic Crime in Lahav 433.

Unauthorized workers were caught entering sensitive IDF facilities.

The investigation began with a covert inquiry during which it was suspected that several contractors who received permission from the defense system to carry out infrastructure work at bases and security facilities employed workers not according to the regulations of the defense system. It was also suspected that they were aware of the employment of unauthorized workers, including illegal residents. It is also believed that bribes were given to officials who participated in and/or were aware of the existence of document forgery activities, which allowed unauthorized personnel to enter various IDF bases and even sensitive facilities.

With the transition to an open investigation on October 28, 2024, detectives from the Yam'arim unit in the Military Intelligence Directorate and detectives from the Lahav 433 unit, along with detectives from the Judea District Crime Investigation Unit and soldiers from the Judea Region of the IDF, raided the homes of five residents of the territories. Evidence linking the suspects to the document forgery operation was seized, and forgery tools used to counterfeit various documents, including vehicle licenses and licenses for operating engineering equipment, were uncovered.

This morning, four additional suspects were arrested, and they were brought to the offices of the Economic Crime Unit in Lahav 433. Today, the Magistrate's Court ordered the detention of three of the suspects until Thursday, 07.11.24, and one additional suspect until tomorrow, 05.11.24.

5 suspects who were arrested last week will be brought tomorrow for a hearing at the Judea Military Court in Ofer Camp to discuss the police's request to extend their detention. The investigation is ongoing.
