At least 25 people were arrested during anti-Israel protests organized by the group Within Our Lifetime in New York City on Thursday, according to the New York Post.

The demonstrations took place in response to the arrival of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who touched down in the city ahead of his scheduled address to the United Nations General Assembly on Friday.

Protesters blocked a street in Midtown, waving a massive red banner emblazoned with messages such as “No war criminals in NYC” and “STOP THE GENOCIDE!” as chants of “Let Gaza Live” echoed through the area.

Within Our Lifetime dubbed the protest “Flood the United Nations for Gaza and Lebanon” and vowed to “turn the city into a frozen zone” in a series of social media posts.

The group’s demands include the resignation of "Zionist cop mayor Eric Adams," who faced a separate bombshell indictment on corruption charges earlier today. They also called for the disbandment of the NYPD’s Strategic Response Group and the closure of what they referred to as the “NYPD’s branch in occupied Palestine.”

The demonstrations have intensified as Netanyahu’s visit has drawn sharp criticism from pro-Palestinian groups across the city, setting the stage for more confrontations in the coming days.
