The Zeus hacking group has released a database containing sensitive information about the Israeli delegation at the Paris Olympics, including ID photos, plane tickets, military documents, and personal photos from the athletes' military service.
Along with these, they published military I.D. numbers, usernames, and passwords to online accounts, as well as locations and addresses.
The hackers claim that the delegation members are connected to the fighting in Gaza, a move some experts fear could incite violence and undermine their legitimacy at the international sporting event.
“The Israeli military sent representatives to the Olympic Games,” the hackers stated in a Telegram channel featuring the hacked material. This complex attack appears to have involved extensive data collection and might have been executed by an Iranian group, with Israel's cyber authorities closely monitoring the situation.
