Despite the war and its toll, Israel dropped just one spot on Gallup's Happiness Report from fourth to fifth place, according to Calcalist. Finland, Iceland, Denmark, and Switzerland are ahead of it, now.

Meanwhile, the US has dropped from 15th place to 23rd, at all age levels and especially among young Americans.

The Gallup Happiness report is based on GDP per capita, social support, life expectancy, freedom, generosity, and perceived corruption.
