Apple is pushing for major changes to its popular headphones. A new report from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the giant technology company will include an infrared camera in the headphones .

The reason is to improve vision and invest in Vision Pro, the artificial intelligence of smart glasses. This comes from a new report from Ming-Chi Kuo, who is said to be close to the company. The built-in camera is an infrared camera, a camera that scans the iPhone user's face to unlock the device, and Apple is said to be planning to include the technology so the headset can scan your environment and learn your exact location.

The use of these technologies is for virtual reality products such as the company's Vision Pro. The goal is to make the headset sound better in virtual reality by adjusting the volume precisely based on the user's position in the room. It was recently reported that Apple is stopping work on the next version of the Vision Pro due to criticism of the high cost and lack of usability of the original device. Instead, the company began developing a thinner, smaller version of its entry-level sunglasses to take advantage of the Vision Pro operating system and its many features.

According to a new report from Kuo, Apple is working on adapting other products to virtual reality devices. Kuo said the company is working to incorporate advances in artificial intelligence into its VR devices in addition to its existing Vision Pro models. If this actually happens, users will be able to simply speak to Siri while wearing Apple's virtual reality glasses, reducing the need to use the keyboard, which is a weak point of the current system.

According to Kuo's report, Apple intends to launch the new Air Pods in early 2026. Until then, the company will unveil its vision of spatial computing mapped to the user's eyes, including virtual reality glasses..
