The IDF released new details about the operation launched yesterday (Wednesday) in the Khan Yunis area to extract the bodies of five of the hostages, who were killed in Hamas captivity.

According to the IDF Spokesperson, the bodies were buried in a tunnel 20 meters deep underneath Khan Yunis, in an area previously designated as part of the humanitarian zone.

Following two weeks of intensive intelligence-based investigation and interrogation of prisoners, the Commando Brigade, Egoz Unit, Yahalom combat engineering unit entered Khan Yunis and extracted the bodies, who will now be buried in Israel.
